Cider-BBQ Pulled Chicken Sliders

The kind of dinner you make once and crave all week.

These tender sliders bring together the sweet tang of apple cider and the smoky richness of BBQ sauce—an easy slow cooker recipe that tastes like something you spent hours perfecting. They're great for casual dinners, weekend hangouts, or packing along to the lake.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken thighs or breasts

  • 1 bottle Angry Orchard Crisp Apple

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (sweet, smoky, or spicy—your call!)

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls

  • Coleslaw or shredded cabbage (for topping)

Instructions:

Place chicken, sliced onion, BBQ sauce, and half a bottle of Angry Orchard into your slow cooker.

  • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is fall-apart tender.

  • Shred the chicken with two forks, return it to the sauce, and stir to combine.

  • Toast slider buns or rolls if desired, then load each one with a generous scoop of pulled chicken.

  • Top with coleslaw or cabbage mix for a little crunch.

  • Serve with chips, pickles, and something cold from the cooler.

Local tip: These pair great with a can of Bud Light or a pour of Bota Box red at the end of a long summer day.
