New Deals to start the New Year off on the Right Foot!

An Idaho January Toast — Welcoming the New Year, From Our Valley to Your Table

January has arrived in Emmett, and the new year opens a little differently than expected. Instead of deep snow and frozen mornings, we’ve been greeted by rain-washed roads, soft winter air, and those wide Idaho blue skies that seem to stretch forever after a storm passes through. The valley feels awake in a quieter way—orchards resting, the river still moving steady, and the season asking us to adjust our rhythm rather than rush it.

With the holidays behind us and the calendar freshly turned, Main Street Beverage is welcoming the year with new deals and familiar warmth. January is about easing back in—casual dinners, low-key get-togethers, and those evenings when the rain taps the window and a good drink makes the night feel just right. Whether you’re hosting friends, enjoying a quiet weekend at home, or simply restocking after the holidays, our current specials are here to meet the season as it actually is.

This is still Idaho winter living—just a softer version of it. Shared tables, easy conversation, and the comfort of knowing your local shop has what you need, no matter how the weather decides to behave. As we step into the promise of a new year, we’re here to help you stock up for everyday moments, unexpected gatherings, and everything January brings.

Stop in this week to explore our New Year deals and start 2026 stocked, settled, and ready for whatever this winter has in store.

Featured Recipes of the week!

Shrimp in garlic butter with parsley in a skillet, surrounded by lemon, orange, bread, a beer can, and a glass on a rustic table.
Beer and Citrus Braised Steamed Shrimp

Light Citrus Beer–Steamed Shrimp

Light, bright, and perfect for an easy winter reset

This dish feels like winter taking a breath—warm, but not heavy. Great for a quiet night in or a casual table with friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 can Beer of your choosing, New Belgium is a personal choice, but any beer works well.

  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

  • 1 small shallot or ¼ red onion, sliced

  • Zest of 1 lemon or orange

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped

  • Salt & cracked black pepper

  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Warm the pan In a wide skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and shallot, cooking just until fragrant—do not brown.

  2. Add the beer Pour in about ¾ of the can Beer. Let it gently simmer for 2–3 minutes to soften the bitterness and release the aromatics.

  3. Steam the shrimp Add shrimp in a single layer. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, citrus zest, and red pepper flakes if using. Cover and cook 2–3 minutes per side until shrimp are just pink.

  4. Finish fresh Remove from heat. Drizzle with a little more olive oil and scatter herbs over the top.

How to Serve

  • With warm sourdough or crusty bread to soak up the broth

  • Over butter lettuce or arugula for a light salad dinner

  • Alongside roasted winter vegetables (carrots, fennel, or broccoli)

Why It Works for January

  • This is a lovely warm, but not heavy main course, that is bright and cheery citrus for cloudy days, and simple enough for a week night quick dinner. It will also pair very well with what ever you have left in your beer can.

Tall glass of iced citrus drink with grapefruit and lime slices on a wooden table, next to a metal bottle and pine branches. Cozy vibe.
Citrus Shandy Evening Edition

January Citrus Shandy (Evening Edition)

Clean, relaxed, and unfussy—this is a “one glass, slow sip” kind of drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle or can Mexican Beer, I personally prefer to use Corona Premier

  • 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice (orange works just as well)

  • ½ oz fresh lime juice

  • Optional: ½ oz simple syrup or honey water (to taste)

  • Ice

  • Citrus wheel or wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a tall glass halfway with ice.

  2. Add grapefruit juice and lime juice.

  3. If desired, add a small splash of simple syrup for balance.

  4. Slowly top with your favorite Mexican Beer

  5. Gently stir once—just enough to combine.

  6. Garnish with a citrus slice.

Why It Works in January

  • Light and refreshing, not heavy with a note of bright citris. Which is perfect for those long grey and raining evenings. The Lower -alcohol feel, also suits a slower winter night and it is easy to make on a whim. Cheers

When to Serve

  • Early evening gatherings

  • After-work wind-downs

  • Paired with light dinners, seafood, or roasted vegetables

*Contains alcohol: for 21+ cooks only. Please enjoy and share responsibly.”
