The Best cold drink for summer
🍓 Cherry Festival White Claw Sangria
A light, sparkling patio drink inspired by Emmett's orchards and the upcoming Cherry Festival.
Serves 6
Ingredients:
2 cans White Claw Black Cherry
1 bottle Barefoot Pinot Grigio
1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
½ cup apple juice
Ice
Fresh mint
Instructions:
In a large pitcher combine the wine, apple juice, cherries, orange slices, and lemon slices.
Chill for at least 1 hour.
Just before serving, gently pour in the White Claw.
Fill glasses with ice and pour sangria over the top.
Garnish with fresh mint.
Taste:Bright, crisp, lightly fizzy, and perfect alongside grilled meats and summer sunshine.
The Perfect Corn Salad for a Summer BBQ
🌽 Barefoot Wine Bacon Ranch Corn Salad
A rich BBQ side that pairs beautifully with burgers, chicken, ribs, or smoked tri-tip.
Serves 8
Ingredients:
6 cups sweet corn kernels (fresh grilled corn is best)
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, diced small
½ cup red onion, finely diced
¼ cup chopped parsley
Dressing:
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
2 tbsp Barefoot Chardonnay
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Grill corn until lightly charred and remove kernels from the cob.
Combine corn, bacon, cheese, onion, and parsley in a large bowl.
Whisk dressing ingredients together.
Toss with salad and chill for 30 minutes before serving.
Taste:Creamy, smoky, slightly sweet from the corn, with just enough wine in the dressing to add depth without overpowering the dish.
For a true Emmett Sunday BBQ spread, serve these alongside:
Smoked burgers or tri-tip
Watermelon wedges
Potato salad
Kettle chips
Fresh cherry hand pies 🍒
